My thetan levels are dangerously low...oh no

This is a site dedicated to the E-meter, a "tool" the scientologists use to examine ones mental state, it's basically a crude lie detector. Here is a quote from every E-meter book and on the device itself, "By itself, this meter does nothing." found this site a while ago, it tells about the training of auditors and the "readings" in case you're wondering this is all based on science fiction!

The E-Meter

oh yeah here's the main site, haven't read through it but I know it will be interesting

World history has been rewritten.

Terrible world history
A collection of 8th grade to college, history reports, compiled into a "history" be sure to read carefully some of the errors are misspellings that change the whole meaning.

Here's an example paragraph.

"The nineteenth century was a time of many great inventions and thoughts. The invention of the steamboat caused a network of rivers to spring up. Cyrus McCormick invented the McCormick raper, which did the work of hundred men. Samuel Morse invented a code of telepathy. Louis Pasteur discovered a cure for rabbis. Charles Darwin was a naturalist who wrote the Organ of the Species."

It was my birthday yesterday

Technically my birthday was yesterday, I spent most of it at work crawling underneath a house. I get home chill for a minute and then head out to shoot some pool with Jeff (from The House Of X). It all comes back to us, we haven't played in many many months, we used to play every monday, so the games weren't that great, but we had fun, and a couple beers. After the poolhall closed we wanted something to eat so we went to a little mexican place we like called Taquerria (sp?) Mexico and had some great asada tacos. Then made a pit stop at chapman but the doors were locked, so let just say I was relieved that we found some bushes. Now I'm at home and 26.

Dinner at Keno's

After work, I hit In N' Out for a burger and some fries, chill for a minute, and I get an IM from Jeff about getting out tonight to meet some friends at the Olde Ship in santa ana. So Jeff and Antonio pick me up and were off to the pub, where we meet Ryan, Kevin and Hung(sp?), throughout the night I have a couple beers and same for the rest of the guys, except for Antonio who enjoys a snifter of Laphroaig scotch whiskey, then at last call some lady from the next table comes over and offers to buy a round for the table, so we oblige (free beer? umm ok!). So now the pub is closed and Jeff, Antonio and I are kinda hungry, at first mexican sound like the ticket, but then Antonio mentions Keno's and we are sold. The three of us get inside and the place is kinda quiet, we have some food that hits the spot and some great conversation (mostly revolving around food, cooking, music and people we went to school with), then suddenly around 2am the place is packed, our guess is the Foxfire closed and they had nowhere to go, so they went to Keno's. Now I'm home watching the simpsons season 7 disc 1 and I'm kinda full, buzzed and tired.

Beer review:
Beamish Stout - pretty good, not the best stout they have but not bad at all, though the Guinness is better I think.
Boddingtons Ale - nice creamy ale, mmm mmm good.
Smithwicks - 1st time trying, I think I'll have to remember the name, it's a good one.

If this post makes no sense look at the posting time and remember I've got a few beers and some pancakes & eggs in me, give me a break!

Expensive Ceilings

Ok, at work we have FINALLY finished one nightmare of a job, with a first time interior designer, (or still in school, we haven't decided), that couldn't make up their mind about simple things, and in their infinite wisdom decided to use Billo 3-D ceiling panels, the standard ceiling panels can run about $2 for a 2' x 4' panel the nicer panels run about $10-20 for a 2' x 2', these Billo panels are $50 EACH! and they aren't as thick as you'd expect for that kind of money, these thing are flexible! if you just support one in the center convex side, it goes concave on you. We installed 89 of these flimsy $50 panels. Quick math time ..... $4450 before tax (estimate with tax $4828) and that's without installation. Here are a couple pics of these ceilings, and there is one more room I forgot to take a pic of but it has like 12 panels in it.

A $400 kitchen skylight

I think it looks better without light from behind.

The longest hallway in the business park, I think it's ~90 foot long and spans 4 suites. And it's straight all the way, pretty good for having built the 45 foot halves about 6 months apart with a wall in the middle dividing the 4 suites in to "1-2 wall 3-4", this probably makes no sense having never seen how it went together, and be thankful you didn't.

Oh yeah "I love toys" on VH1 rated Nintendo Entertainment System #21, and the Gameboy #50 I think

What a way to start the day.

This morning in my inbox is an email from DownsizeDC.org they are an organization designed to help protect and inform the people from congress and the bills they try to pass that will hurt our freedoms.
The current bill H.R.4694 will change the way candidates get funding, it will all come from the government (so we pay for both guys, no matter who we think is better) with the current president getting more money for their campaign, than the new guy.
For those of us who like the ability to vote for third party members, they will have to have a petition signed that equals 20% of the previous elections votes.
Candidates that don't want to take government money will not be allowed to run.
Citizen groups will not be allowed to spend money on communication that discuss the campaign, (tv commercials, flyers, radio spots, websites)

Please go to DownsizeDC.org
Stop the "Don't Let the People Decide" Act
and let your congress person know you oppose this bill.

DownsizeDC.org is also working on getting a bill passed through congress, it's called the Read The Bills Act. The bill basically makes the people in congress read the bill they are voting on, hmm what a novel concept, understanding what you are going to be doing to millions of peoples lives if a bill passes or fails.
